1. Respect the community
- Be kind and constructive. No harassment, threats, bullying or personal attacks.
- No hate speech or discrimination of any kind (race, religion, gender, nationality, etc.).
- Respect everyone's privacy — never post other people's personal details (phone numbers, addresses, ID, private messages).
- No nudity, sexual content, violence or anything illegal.
2. Keep reviews & comments honest
- Reviews must be based on a real, first-hand stay.
- No fake, paid or incentivised reviews — for or against a camp.
- Stay on topic: write about the place and your experience, not unrelated matters.
- No advertising, spam, links or promotion of other businesses.
3. Groups & direct messages
Groups and private messages are part of the community too. The same respect applies — with a few extras:
- If you create a group, you're its admin: set a clear purpose, keep it on-topic, and remove content or members that break these guidelines. You are responsible for your group.
- Private (invite-only) groups must still follow these rules — “private” is never a place for hate, harassment or illegal content.
- Direct messages are for genuine, respectful contact. No spam, unsolicited advertising, scams, or sending the same message to many people.
- Never harass, threaten, or send sexual or abusive messages, and never pressure anyone. If someone asks you to stop, stop.
- Don't use groups or messages to arrange anything illegal, to share others' personal data, or to take bookings off-platform to dodge protections or fees.
4. When content is removed
We may remove a review, comment, diary post, group post or message — and, for repeated or serious breaches, remove a group or suspend an account — when it:
- breaks any rule in sections 1 or 2 above;
- contains harassment, hate speech, threats or personal attacks;
- reveals someone's private or personal information;
- is spam, an advertisement, or off-topic;
- is fake, incentivised, or not based on a genuine stay;
- impersonates someone else or is clearly misleading;
- is illegal, or infringes someone's rights.
A negative but honest review is not a reason for removal — only content that breaks these rules is removed.
5. Reporting content
If you see something that breaks these guidelines, use the Report link on the post, comment or review. Our team reviews every report and removes content that breaks the rules. Reporting is confidential.
6. Consequences
Depending on severity, we may remove the content, issue a warning, or suspend or remove the account. We aim to be fair and consistent, and to keep the community welcoming.
For hosts: a quick guide to reviews
- Guest reviews are their honest opinion — you can't have a review removed just because it is negative.
- You can report a review that breaks these guidelines — for example one that is off-topic, contains personal information, is abusive or hateful, is spam, or is fake/not from a real stay — and we'll review it against the rules above.
- The best response to criticism is a calm, professional public reply. It tells future guests a lot about you.
- Never offer guests anything in exchange for a review, or pressure them to change one.
