Frequently asked questions
Everything you need to know about camping and hosting on NatCamp.
For campers
How do I book a camp?+
Search by area and dates, open a camp you like, pick your dates and guests, and check out. You'll get a confirmation and can message the host directly.
How do I pay?+
Many camps are paid on arrival (cash, bank transfer or e-wallet); some accept online payment to confirm. The payment options appear at checkout for each camp.
Can I cancel my booking?+
Yes — go to Trips and cancel. The refund follows the camp's cancellation policy (Flexible, Moderate or Strict), shown before you confirm.
Is there a security deposit?+
Some camps ask for a refundable deposit, collected on arrival and returned after your stay. It's shown clearly at checkout when it applies.
How do reviews work?+
After your stay you can leave a review. Reviews must be honest and based on a real stay — see our Community Guidelines.
Something went wrong — how do I get help?+
Open a ticket on the Support page. You'll get a ticket number and can track its status.
For hosts
How do I become a host?+
Hosting is invitation-only to keep the collection curated. Request an invite — if it's a fit we'll send you a link to set up your listing for review.
What does it cost?+
You start free. NatCamp may apply a small per-booking commission (around 3%) once enabled — we'll always tell you first, and you'll see your net payout on your earnings page.
How do I get paid?+
Today most hosts collect payment from guests directly (on arrival or online). Your dashboard tracks every booking, what's collected, and your net payout.
Can I manage my calendar and pricing?+
Yes — block dates, set weekend/holiday pricing, sync external calendars (Airbnb/Booking.com via iCal), and rent out equipment as add-ons.
What if a guest doesn't show up?+
Mark the booking as a no-show from your Bookings page. Combined with your cancellation policy, this keeps your records accurate.
Can I remove a bad review?+
Honest negative reviews stay, but you can report a review that breaks the rules (off-topic, abusive, fake, contains personal info). See the host guide in our Community Guidelines.
